FISH-A-THING

Embark on a guaranteed to-be amazing fishing expedition. The first thing on the morning’s agenda is to catch your own bait. You will use a casting net wielded by our experienced guide who will pass on his knowledge to anyone willing to try their skill in and around the shallow mangrove islands. These shoals host a large population of sardine and sprat. During your bait-collecting expedition, you get the chance to see various marine wildlife such as the West Indian manatee, Bottlenose dolphin, Hawksbill turtles, and many more amazing species that call Belize their home. You will be fishing using a hundred-year-old yet sustainable fishing method to catch barracuda, red snappers, groupers, king, and ​mackerel at some of the best fishing drops, the secret of which have been passed down from generation to generation.

YOUR EARLY-BIRD FISHING EXPEDITION from the Ramada Pier at 7:30 a.m. will give you the edge to catch your own bait, maybe even spotting a manatee in the warm shoal waters as we head out from the coast of Belize City.  We will drop trolling gear so you can get a shot at the first catch of the day on the way to the anchored fishing spot.  Get enthralled and expect to practice our local “bottom-fishing” method as we go from drop to drop!  After raising anchor, we will head out to SAINT GEORGE’S CAYE for some relaxing snorkeling experiences, then  LUNCH at noon. We head back arriving at 3’30p.m. The drop off is same as the pick up point, guaranteeing that you will rave about your amazing CATCH and not “the one that got away!”
