BURDON CANAL BOAT SAFARI

There’s a popular quote that says, “Do not go where the path may lead; but instead where there is no path, and leave a trail.” That could not be more accurate than when it comes to this 100-year-old waterway called Burdon Canal, which sits just on the outskirts of the old capital. This historic landmark boasts some amazing flora and fauna that live in complete harmony along the water banks.

The tour of the Burdon Canal will depart the Ramada pier at 8:30 a.m. We will head North, North East along the City Harbor, and make our way up Belize’s oldest waterways, the Belize, or  Old River as it is affectionately called. The Old River guarantees a great sightseeing adventure as we branch off at the HAULOVER CREEK and navigate the narrow waterways to enter the Burdon Canal. It is a wildlife paradise! Experience Belize’s magical thriving ecosystem, filled with crocodiles, howler monkeys, and birds that make their homes in the majestic mangroves. Capture the most picturesque views of Belize’s local wildlife in their natural habitat! Enjoy meandering along the pristine waterways of the Burdon Canal then exit at the peaceful SIBUN RIVER. What a wonderful way to spend a morning until we return safely to the Ramada pier at 11:30 a.m.!
